Honestly, I do. I think the Championship does, and always will, beat the Premiership. It has a air of unpredictability. People say that anyone can beat anyone in the Prem, but is it really true? Man Utd didn't lose a game a home all season. I believe 18 wins and 1 draw was the final count. Your not telling me that these statistics make for an interesting league. In the Championship, anyone can win the league, and anyone can be promoted. Just look at recent years, Blackpool and previously Derby have both been promoted, both with shoe string budgets, completely out of the blue, and I'll admit, I don't envy Derby's season of misery, but the fact they were even promoted is something that gives everyone in that division hope. It's possible for newly promoted teams to come up and stand a chance of winning the league, just take Norwich and Leeds for example. No one could have expected them to be fighting for the title this season, but that's exactly what they did. To win the Premiership, you have to be the richest club in the world, and that for me is a farce. Man City will win it next year, because they'll pay the biggest wages. For a club like us, the Premiership is a joke. There really is no point in us being there, we can't achieve anything but for mid table mediocrity, we and 15 other clubs are all about making up the numbers. I personally think there is something far more 'real' about the lower leagues. There are no glory supporters or 'plastic' fans at a game between Nottingham Forest and Cardiff. I think that standing a chance of winning every single game we go into is far more exciting and enjoyable, than hoping for a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane. Don' forget guys, we are now in the 4th most supported league in Europe, and we stand a darn good chance of winning it! That for me, is plenty to be optimistic about! TFIB :blues: |

I agree on some levels, whilst im massively disappointed to be in the championship, I look forward to it as well because its a different challenge for Blues where they go into every game looking to win Also this season in particular it should mean we see the youth in the squad played more, Redmond, Mutch, Valles, Asante, O'Shea, Shroot, hopefully this season we will see little bits of them and I think some of them deffiantly have alot to offer |

Agreed, it's much more fun this way round. And yes, the championship offers a chance to stop playing semi-fit 30 something year-olds. |

Its like Del Trotter when he finally became a millionaire,at first it was great but soon he started to be unhappy because he missed the chase of trying to get the million. Thats what Im like,I love the Prem but in the 2nd tier we hope to get up and its a great challenge trying to get there. In the Prem everyone becomes billy big boots wanting us to sign superstars on huge wages and everyone expectations become ridiculous thinking we have a diving right to beat teams who have been stable Prem clubs for years. I look forward to next season and look forward to seeing Blues hopefully win a lot of games and score a lot of goals for a change. |

Would rather be in the Prem, seems a bit of a waste of Europe, but as long as we dont have a jumble sale will definately be looking forward to it! |

OHHH GOD I think we have all forgotten the genral dross on offer in the Championship , Served up by us - last time under Mcleish - although we got promoted the football at times was dreadful Also under Bruce i think the Last Championship campaign was a grind I hate the Championship - i hate the fact that there will probabaly two teams uncapable of playing any decent football on the pitch ....instead of just us :) Season ticket is renewed , but with a fixture list showing Doncaster Burnley Barnsley visiting us - well i cannot lie , it does NOT excite me |

The best cure for a relegation hangover is seeing us top of the table after week 1. Trust me. |

There will be some great away days at real football grounds. But home games might be a bit depressing, especially if our season doesn't get off to a good start. |

Oh how I love the Championship. All those lovely days out at Millwall, Leeds, Cardiff and West Ham where I will take my daughter to enjoy the friendly banter and friendly rivalry. As to us standing a chance of winning the Europa Cup, I admire the optimism, but we're highly unlikely to win that. |

If we had established ourselves properly in the Prem and managed to challenge the top 8, along with the cup success we already managed to get, then I think you would prefer the Premiership over the Championship any day. The only reason you prefer it is because we've only ever been mediocre in the prem against being top of the championship. |

From the Guardian: "But the Championship is not oblivion, nor is it the abyss. It's more competitive than the Premier League, less skewed towards certain teams, less predictable, and simply, for some teams at least, more fun (In their last two seasons in the Championship, for example, Birmingham won 49 games. In their last five in the Premier League, they've won 48.). You just have to stay up a bit later to watch the goals on a Saturday night. And learn to tolerate Steve Claridge." |

Biggest win in the Chumpionship 08/09 season 3-1 versus Wednesday? Biggest gate at home 25,000+ versus wolves Lowest gate at home 15,000 + versus derby |

I think if we can get off to a good start then relegation will soon be forgotten. One season is not so bad out the top flight it's just the insecurity of not know ing if ans when we will get back. |

Maybe we will win 2 or maybe even 3 games in a row! Or win more than 8 games in a season! God, winning 8 games out of 38 is depressing |
